Pelvic pain, tips and advice.

WHEN SHOULD YOU SEE YOUR DOCTOR?

• When you experience a sudden and intense pain in the pelvis.

• When the pelvic pain persists for more than two days or recidivism.

• When you experience a burning sensation on urination, increased frequency of urination, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

• If you are pregnant.

• If you have a loss of appetite and pelvic pain ensue.

• When you’ve been suffering from a sexually transmitted infection in the past or you have sex with multiple partners.
What show symptoms

Unfortunately, some of the qualities that make the uterus feminine ideal site for the growing fetus – containing heat and humidity – also makes it fertile ground for the development of bacteria. And bacterial infections in the uterus can cause considerable pelvic pain.

Urinary tract infections can also cause pelvic pain in both men and women. Women are much more likely to develop these infections, however. (In fact, while men might have pelvic pain, symptoms occur almost invariably in women.) Another important cause of pelvic pain is the salpingitis acute inflammation of the fallopian tubes. The sexually transmitted diseases are mostly responsible for acute salpingitis, but other infections can also cause a problem.  (more…)
