Posted on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Health Topics

Menopause has numerous symptoms and one of it is hot flash. Hot flash is considered as deficiency of estrogen. This can be triggered by several kinds of stimulants such as caffeine that can be found in coffee, black tea, chocolate and soft drinks. Foods that contain too much ginger or pepper, tobacco and marijuana, hot weather and even hunger can trigger hot flash.

According to Dr. Susan Lank, the most common medical treatment for hot flash problem is estrogen replacement therapy. Please take note that this kind of treatment may be effective in stopping flashes, but not curative.
